National Lottery Community Fund Grant Awarded to Support Community Cooking Workshops

We are delighted to share the exciting news that the Learners’ Trust has been awarded a £19,960 grant from the National Lottery Community Fund to support a new programme of cooking workshops for children, families and the wider community.

The funding will enable us to deliver a series of interactive cooking sessions over the next two years, helping participants develop valuable cooking skills, increase their confidence in the kitchen and learn how to prepare healthy, nutritious meals on a budget.

The workshops will provide opportunities for children, families and members of the local community to come together, learn new recipes, share experiences and develop skills that can be used at home. Each session will focus on practical, hands-on learning, supporting participants to create affordable meals that are both healthy and enjoyable.

The cooking workshops will take place at a number of our school locations during after-school hours, with sessions available throughout the year. Families and community members will be able to take part at their local school, with further details shared through each school’s usual communication channels.
