Who We Are
Ashgate Croft School is a designated Area Special School within the Derbyshire Local Authority. While our allocated capacity is 148 places, we are currently oversubscribed, with 161 pupils enrolled from Year R to Year 14.
Our pupils have a wide range of cognitive and physical abilities, requiring specialist support to meet their individual needs. We cater to children and young people with severe learning difficulties who would find it challenging to thrive in a mainstream school setting.
Our pupils function significantly below age-related expectations, with some having profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and a large number being autistic.
