Early Years Foundation Stage and Nursery
In EYFS we are fortunate to have a classroom full of amazing resources which our children love to explore! Every day our children have access to indoor and outdoor learning, a library, gym and an ipad suite. We also have weekly Forest School lessons, daily guitar sessions and we have trips out into the community!
Feedback from our Parent Survey included the following positive testimonial:
“Miss Taylor and the staff in EYFS, are amazing!!!! Miss Taylor has listened to my concerns regarding my child’s allergies and support with SEND. My child has come on leaps and bounds since joining in September.”
The last EYFS Ofsted Inspection found their EYFS provision to be ‘outstanding’. The Ofsted report states that:
“Children get off to a flying start in early years. Staff ensure that every aspect of their development is well catered for. The classroom is a hive of activity, where children learn and play cooperatively. Staff use language with precision and expertly teach them to communicate well. Children talk confidently about their activities. For example, they explain how they can join materials together to make models of London landmarks. The school ensures that pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are well supported. Staff work with parents to gain detailed knowledge of pupils’ individual needs. Teachers make many adaptations to support pupils’ wideranging needs. Pupils with SEND access the same curriculum as their peers. Parents value the inclusivity of the school. They say that the support for pupils with SEND goes ‘above and beyond’ their expectations.”
